There is a pre-vet leadership event going on in Baltimore, MD at Johns Hopkins that is aimed toward options in veterinary careers and information about Tufts University. The event is September 24th around 5 or 6 pm. Dr. Griffiths will be attending and offered to carpool with anyone interested. Let us now at meetings if you are interested!

students, by students, is recruiting new team members — Social Media
Ambassadors (SMAs) — for the 2012-13 academic year.
Working
with the University’s Office of Communications and Marketing, SMAs
create and curate fun, engaging content across social media platforms
such as Twitter, Facebook andTumblr

addition, the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is looking
for an SMA to be specifically assigned to CANR to help manage several
social media accounts. Those interested in this opportunity are

End of the Year Thanks!
Dear Animal Science Club,
Thank you for such a great year. I hope everyone had a great time at Ag Day 2012. It was so successful that we are hoping to expand for next year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and came to our end of the year banquet.
Thank you to all the seniors for everything they have contributed to the club throughout the years. We will miss each of you very much and wish you the best of luck in everything and anything you do. Come back and visit!
Thank you to our wonderful advisors, Dr. Griffiths and Laura Nemec. Without our advisors, our club would cease to function.

Penn State seeking two dairy Extension educators
Penn State is seeking two Extension Educator positions in Dairy Systems Management to compliment the Extension Dairy Team. Individuals filling these positions will develop and deliver programs for dairy producers and agribusiness representatives, as well as interact with government officials and the general public. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (MS preferred) plus one year of work related experience. Degrees should be in dairy and animal science, agricultural economics, agribusiness management or related field. Candidate must possess excellent teaching, program development and evaluation skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and effective communications skills with a variety of audiences (Spanish communication skills a plus). - National Zoo trip: we are looking into finding different transportation since we don’t have enough people...keep signing up! We need 39 total!!
