3-Day Artificial Insemination Course!

Animal Science Club is looking to host a 3-Day Artificial Insemination course, taught by Precision Diagnostics.
Who: any UD students that are willing to get dirty & learn a lot!
What: learn how to artificially inseminate cows with an experienced teacher from Precision Diagnostics, a laboratory specializing in bovine artificial insemination.
Where: in the past, students have stayed with other students, in their off-campus housing. We will carpool to local dairy farms during the day; Precision Diagnostics will coordinate the farms.
When: spring break 2013...dates will be confirmed if there is enough student interest.
Why: artificial insemination is an extremely important part of the dairy and beef cattle industries! You will learn hands-on, graduating from dissected repro tracts to real cows, and the experience looks great on resumes!
Cost: $300...$150 deposit required before course.

*We need a group of volunteers to coordinate the trip with Precision Diagnostics. They will be responsible for coordinating student payment, housing, transportation, and contact with Precision Diagnostics. This might sound like a lot, but Animal Science Club is here to assist you. Please contact Nina Lee nlee@udel.edu
PLEASE EMAIL IF YOU ARE INTERESTED BY THIS WEEKEND. Sorry for the rush, Precision Diagnostics wants to know ASAP.
