DOG class (University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine)

PRE-VET OPPORTUNITY...from Dr. Patrick Larkin. I am an Instructor at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. I have recently developed a new online class called The Dog. I was hoping you could forward the below information about the class to other members of your Pre-Veterinary group.

The Dog Course is specifically designed for undergraduate students interested in learning more about dogs, especially those planning careers in Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Technical Programs. Students will be introduced to a number of topics, including evolution, domestication, anatomy, biology, role in society, physiology, behavior, and health of the dog. Students enrolled at any College or University can take this course. This course will be offered in the Fall of 2012. Enrollment begins on March 26Th. For more information about the class or enrollment, contact Dr. Patrick Larkin (pmlarkin@ufl.edu).

Additional information about the Dog Class (including tuition and how to enroll) can be found at the following URL (http://dev.distance.ufl.edu/the-dog). If students are interested in taking the class, registration is now open for “non-degree seeking” students and registration will open on March 26TH for “Continuing Education” students. The difference in these two registration methods is explained at the above mentioned URL.

Feel free to email me if you have any other questions and thnaks for posting information about the class.
