ANIMAL SCIENCE CLUB MEETING MINUTES

Meeting called to order at: 6:05 p.m.Treasurer’s Report: $1,345.96 (inside) $575.40 (outside)
OLD BUSINESS
AG DAY IS ALMOST HERE!
THEREFORE...- if you are a member of the club, you must sign up to volunteer one shift at Ag Day...your membership will be revoked if you do not sign up...these shifts need to be filled:Face painting (3 ppl) 2-4 pm; Wool sales (1 person!) 2-4 pm; Equine 10-12 pm, 2-4 pm; Clean up 4-5:30 pm
You do not need to be Picasso to face paint...this is a huge part of our fundraising; feel free to sign up for extra shifts, we need a few extra hands for the dairy show demonstration & sheep shearing*sign up here: google doc: AG DAY sign up
- Posters are due 4/25...next week we will finish up posters & review animal facts for Ag Day (feel free to meet outside of club meetings to work on your posters!)
Please bring ALL craft supplies to next week's meeting to work on Ag Day posters! All
posters that were at our meeting last week, 2 glue sticks, and some
construction paper will be at the meetings. As previously mentioned, we
will reimburse you for additional crafts that you purchase within reason
(approx $15).
- SIGN UP FOR THE ZOO TRIP! MAY 6...7:15 am LOT 19 $20...ANYONE CAN GO!
- Virginia Maryland Veterinary School speaker (Ms. Joyce Massey) was excellent!
- Mrs. Hobson’s animal rescue presentation was excellent! Go volunteer! Yeehaw!
- Nominations for Executive Board 2012-2013 due this week!
- Nominate yourself or a friend...please come prepared with a short description of why you’d be suited to the position
- E-Board is: President, Vice president, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Webmaster (feel free to contact any position about their job responsibilities)
- Committee board elections will be the beginning of fall semester!
- Equine Rescue speaker next week (4/25)
- BANQUET will be May 9th @ Klondike Kate’s 6 - 9 pm...more details TBA
- Tuesday, April 24th, Alpha Zeta is hosting a bowling event at the Blue Hen Bowling Lanes (it's in Newark shopping center at the bottom of mainstreet). It's from 10pm-midnight and it's $10 for the 2 hours of bowling, shoes included. The proceeds benefit the St. Jude's foundation.
